HOW MANY HUBBERS ARE THERE AGE 70 PLUS?

What do you do with your time
Hello, I will be 79 in July and am very busy with too many hobbies. I work on clocks and watches, grow flowers and shrubs from cuttings, write and publish poetry and short stories on two poetry sites plus hubpages.com. I can still read the newspaper without glasses and, other than making a lot of typing errors (I am a trained typist) I can handle the keyboard just fine. I won a free book publishing prize on another poetry site and will be publishing an Old West adventure/romance story in two volumes this year, hopefully by Summer. I have two books published already since I became a senior citizen. Down The Road We Came is a book of story poems and short stories. One of them, a Valentine Story titled ICKATEEBICATEEBOO, tells the story of a youngster about 5 years old who goes in search of Boo in the local woods after hearing about him from a Great Uncle and will be published on my hubpages for this Valentine Day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mp0eWY7ajoQ&feature=feedwll&list=WL
My other book, a novelette, titled THUNDERFOOT, is about Kentucky thoroughbred loaned to the Pony Express and details his adventures out west before being returned to his Kentucky owner. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQgUKY1q7Yk&feature=related
I would like to see what other hubbers in my age group are doing with their hubpages and what else they devote their hobby time to. So, all you 70 plus hubbers let's follow each other and see what we can do to encourage each other. I already know "Nellianna", a fellow Texan, and a former resident of the city I now live in, who is near my age and is doing a wonderful job with her hubpages.

Good show, Robert! I'm paddling through my 80s...and like an octopus, have arms outstretched in too many directions. But that's been my life history. I've written for charities in the past, but now I write for fun. Money would be nice, but I'm not zeroed in enough. My main goal is to have a cozy nook where I can hide from all distractions. Maybe next move - next month; then I can concentrate.
Yes, Robert - I just slipped into 80 on Feb. 2nd. But, you see, I started THIS life @ 40 so I may have to finagle to get into the over 70 Club! In any case, I'm going for at least 100 with good health and vitality, as I have now. So I'll catch up!
I do love Hubpages, - reading and commenting on others' writing as well as writing my own. Writing has always been a big part of my life, but just privately till recently.
It's just one of many major interests, however. There aren't enough hours in the day! It's not that my interests aren't too many; it's that the hours are sometimes just too few! How much better to have some undone things left over, though, rather than too many hours left over! I can honestly say that I've NEVER been bored! It doesn't matter if I'm alone or with people. There are so many great things to do and about which to think! Whoo hoo!
I am only 57, but I think your Hub and all of you are way cool! Hope to equally active when I hit 70. Blessings. SHARING
I'm 75 and frankly don't have much left over energy beyond trying to keep up with household chore and writing here.
I just started my new career as a freelance writer - you are inspiring and a role model to us youngsters (over 60 but not yet 70!). I look forward to many years of successful writing.
Good to meet you Robert--I am not there yet--but hope that I am as active as you are when I do get there--I am off to read some more of your work!
