THE WISE MEN COMETH
Three Wise Men talking as they watched their sheep one day,
heard a loud voice from Heaven, God had this to say.
You must journey for me to anoint my new son,
he is my only son there will be only one.
Follow my bright star to the lonely manger where
you will find my son Jesus waiting for you there.
Glory to the Father and to his only son,
He came to show us the way when our life is done.
Glory to the Father and Jesus all in one,
Take the hand of Jesus and live for God and Son.
Jesus lies there in swaddling clothes born this cold day,
in a straw filled manger the only place to stay.
Take him some simple gifts, Incense and Myrrh will do,
Anoint him and proclaim him Savior to all true.
You are the Wise Men I chose to make my son known,
Danger awaits him from Herod the King from Rome.
Glory to the Father and to his only Son,
He came to show us the way when our life is done.
Glory to the Father and Jesus all in one
Take the hand of Jesus and live for God and Son.
The Wise Men followed God’s bright star to Bethlehem,
to the manger and baby Jesus before them.
They anointed him, proclaiming him King of Jews,
He is the Son of God and the one you should choose.
The Wise Men knelt before Jesus our one Savior,
as promised by the Prophets who did not waiver.
Glory to the Father and to his only Son,
He came to show us the way when our life is done.
Glory to the Father and Jesus all in one,
Take the hand of Jesus and live for God and Son.
The Wise Men astounded all of the people there,
Except for Mother Mary whom God chose to care.
They said, take our Lord Jesus and hide him this day,
the Roman King Herod would like our Lord to slay.
Joseph and Mary took Jesus to a safe place,
until he could be the Son of God face to face.
Glory to the Father and to his only Son,
He came to show us the way when our life is done.
